You can access almost all of the library's databases from home so long as you are an IUPUI student, staff, or faculty member. Simply access a resource link via a library resource or subject guide page and input your campus username and password to the IU popup window when prompted. Library resources are "IP-filtered". You shouldn't be required to log in to a resource or pay for an article. 

Using a library site link is required for Books24x7 ebooks whether on- or off-campus. An alternative that works for most other resources, is to use a campus VPN link as described below. VPN can save time, allowing options such as bookmarking a resource site.

Information Cycle
This video provides an overview of research materials. In order to select sources appropriate for your research, it is helpful to consider their original purpose, that is, why that newspaper article, journal article, or book was created in the first place.
