PLAGIARISM

Turnitin is web-based plagiarism detection software that is available to instructors at Indiana University's Bloomington, Indianapolis, East, Kokomo, Northwest, South Bend, and Southeast campuses. It can be used as a deterrent or as an educational tool teaching students how to work with sources, and improve paraphrasing and quoting skills. See the Turnitin Knowledgebase entry. Turnitin can be integrated with Canvas--see the Using Turnitin with Canvas page.

Another product that is available for individuals or institutions (fee-based) is iAuthenticate.

For faculty---teaching modules on Plagiarism can be found by going to Canvas and then select Commons (left toolbar) and using the search function.
