Hi there! My name is Caitlin Pike, and I'm the Medical Humanities Librarian. I'm assigned specifically to your program, and I'm happy to help you with any and all research needs you may have. All of my contact information is on the right, so please don't hesitate to call or email me with any questions.
I have tried to divide up the resources on the left in a logical way, but please know that they are not comprehensive. Medical Humanities is by definition a multidisciplinary program of study, so if you are having trouble finding specific information, please let me know.
As always, if you spend more than ten minutes looking for something, contact a librarian!
Databases Quick Links
Not sure what discipline covers your topic? Not finding enough information? Interdisciplinary databases contain articles from the sciences, social sciences, and arts & humanities. They are a great way to see who is talking about your topic and to expand your research.
Google Scholar contains more scholarly information than a regular Google Search. But beware! Not everything comes from a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, so, as with everything, evaluate your sources before using them.
Web of Science and SCOPUS, while interdisciplinary, are weighted towards science.
