Workshops and Events

Thanks to all of the students who attended the workshop in January!

Please check back again for upcoming events.

Where can I publish?

What is IUPUIScholarWorks?

IUPUIScholarWorks is the institutional repository established to collect and disseminate IUPUI's scholarly output. IUPUIScholarWorks uses the DSpace open source software created by the collaborative efforts of MIT and Hewlett Packard. For more information about DSpace, please visit: http://www.dspace.org/.

What is an institutional repository?

It is an online, open access collection of scholarly materials produced by members of an institution.

What is meant by the term "open access"?

The items included can be viewed by anyone, without requiring users to pay to view them.

Each library has its own collection to which individuals may submit documents.

Where can I study?

University Library has over 30 individual and group study rooms available Levels 3 and 4.  The Univeristy Library Group Study Room System is now a student, self-managed system. The Consultants will assist with first time user questions and any system error messages. It is the responsibility of the room users to make reservations in advance to ensure 1st priority.

What if I am running late for my reservation?

It is your responsbility to contact the Consultant desk if you are running late. We are available via emai: ulrooms@iupui.edu or by phone: 317-278-1360. If you and/or all group members are not present after 15 minutes into your reservation, the reservation will be cancelled and given to the next available group.

Study Carrels

Students may apply to "check out" a study carrel at the start of the fall semester on a first come-first served basis. Contact John Cooper for more information at 317-274-0471 or go to the Circulation Desk and ask for an application.

**Study carrels for the current academic year are full.
