Tips for Citation Styles

Styles Packaged with the EndNote Download

    • The style name will have the word Copy appended to it, which can be deleted if desired
    • Close the Style window
    • The style should now appear in the pull-down menu. (If it does not, go to Edit -> Output Styles -> Open Style Manager, scroll to the style name and check the box to the left. Close the window.)

Note: If a style does not look exactly like the example citations in the instructions for authors section of that specific journal, it can be tweaked. Instructions may be found in the appropriate EndNote User Guide for your computer platform. However, this is not an easy task and can frequently go wrong. We strongly encourage you to contact us for help, rather than attempting this yourself.
