Coming in May!
The official theme for the spring semester book club is "Slow Books." Just as the Slow Foods movement encourages eating good food that is locally sourced, Slow Books encourages reading good literature by local authors. The Magnificent Ambersons describes the changing landscape of Indianapolis -- and America -- at the turn of the century. The aristocratic, "old money" Amberson family finds themselves becoming increasingly irrelevant during the industrial age. The Magnificent Ambersons won the Pulitzer in 1918.
